About Us
Thank you for visiting valleyelectricllc.com! How can we help you?
This is usually the portion of the page reserved for a somewhat generic mission statement that is supposed to make you feel as though we are better than all the other companies and you would be crazy for not hiring them to do any work. As that MAY be true, that is not the type of company that we are, so we're not going to do that. Instead let’s get to know each other.
Eric Koceja is the president/owner/master electrician of Valley Electric LLC. A 1996 graduate of New Berlin Eisenhower, (GO Lions) Eric started his electrical career days after graduation. He completed his five year apprenticeship through Associated Builders and Contractors and became a journeyman electrician. Eric is engaged to be married (sorry ladies) and is a certified hot rod nut. He is currently working on his dream car—a 1934 Chevy 3 window coupe. In 2003 Eric took his Wisconsin State Masters Exam and became a state certified MASTER ELECTRICIAN. Sounds important doesn’t it? That’s because it is! Without a master’s license you can't pull electrical permits to work on another person’s residence or place of business. (Some communities will allow a HOME OWNER to pull an electrical permit to do work on their own residential property. Check with your local building inspection department.) This ability soon proved to be useful and was put to the test by a large number of people and local business’s suddenly very interested in being close personal friends of young Eric. The work load became too much to handle on a part-time basis and Valley Electric LLC was born. Surprisingly, the number of close friends Eric had did not seem to mind the increase in the cost of his services and in fact, began to tell their friends about Eric and Valley Electric LLC. Soon the work load became too much to handle on a full time basis so . . .
Joel Schneider is the Project Coordinator/Journeyman electrician of Valley Electric LLC. Sounds important doesn’t it? It really isn’t. Sorry. Didn’t mean to mislead you, It’s just fancy talk for secretary/customer relations/worker/grunt/ foreman/friend/and guy who is typing this. And it fits on the business card better. So you may be wondering what Joel does at Valley Electric LLC. Well . . . that’s a good question. We will come back to that. Joel Schneider is a 1991 Graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran High School (Go Vikings).
After graduating Joel Entered the Air Force and was stationed in Texas, Colorado and Delaware . . . yeah Delaware. After completing his TOS Joel entered his apprenticeship though Associated Builders and Contractors and after five years became a Journeyman Electrician. Sounds important doesn’t it? It really isn’t. Sorry, didn’t mean to mislead you again, Journeyman is just fancy talk for you know what your doing and can work in any situation. It is a meaningful title but it does not give you any special privileges such as pulling electrical permits. Joel is an active fisherman and enjoys long walks on the beach; he is married to Heidi, his high school sweet heart, and has two beautiful daughters, known affectionately as Stink and Pooter. Bailey, 10, is the families German Shepard and the girl’s best friend. Joel’s job is to relieve some of the burden off of Eric to give him the time to do the necessary paper work and administrative tasks that they do not teach you in a construction apprenticeship. Most of the time he will be on the job with the other employees but will also do estimating and billing or meeting with the customers or general contractors during the various phases of the projects.
If you have read all of that I apologize, some of it is quite boring, but yet important, as we are establishing a history.
As far as a mission statement goes I would have to say something along the lines of: We are people just like you but we can do electrical work, how can WE help YOU? If you call, we might find a way in which YOU can help US, and then WE would be helping EACH OTHER and life is so much easier when you have someone to help you.
Thank you for helping.
